Internet with a capital "I" refers to the entire Internet (meaning the biggest collection of networks on the planet) . Internet with a lowercase "i" refers to any group of networks that are connected together.

what is the difference between web and internet? in my understanding internet is the connection that connect everyone. it contains data that is stored in server. whereas web is the medium to access the internet.
